removing upper fuel rail question

should i need to loosen throttle bodies and back them out a bit to create enough room to back out the upper fuel rail with injectors. Fuel rail hex bolts are removed and i have injectors unplugged from cylinder but right at the moment it seems like now I dont have enough room to back out the fuel rail with injectors all the way to remove from cylinder. i could remove the coolant hose that flows from throttle bodies to engine head to create a small bit of more room?

ultimate goal is to remove the cylinder.

What's the trick.

sled is 2010 800 rmk.

I think you can just wiggle the injectors out. The long end goes into the cylinder, short end into the fuel rail, held in by o-rings, so if you pull the rail back and then wiggle / twist the injectors gently towards the cylinder they should come loose and you can work them out of the way. But my 860 cylinders are a different (custom) part so they might be different and have a little more room.

If you need to take the throttle bodies loose that is not too hard either, two hose clamps, one can normally be reached straight down from above (mag side) and the PTO side can be reached normally through the cover from right behind the primary clutch, sometimes the wiring harness is in the way a little you just push it out of the way. An LED headlight helps.

There is a green washer / o-ring that goes on the cylinder end of the injectors too, it usually hangs up in the cylinder end. When you take the cylinder off you can fish those out. Or like me I fished them out with a bent paper clip since I had to take them loose again to rewire my pto side fuel injector...

Cylinders are off and fished out the little green washers. Had almost 0 pressure and fuel from the Schrader Valve. Even managed to avoid the piston/rods from banging the case. Just removed mag side injector only and I left the pto injector plugged into fuel rail. Little bit of coolant mess but nothing too bad I believe. I thought I had it drained just about to the bottom of the front cooler hose.

Cylinders look and feel good. Will bring them to Kurts Polaris on Tuesday to get them checked out and honed. Do I also bring them the pistons and rings for them to measure piston to cylinder clearance and ring end gap?

Progress is slow but steady. Thanks for all the help!!!

More progress made which is good news and bad news.

Pistons are off and all circlips accounted for.............that's the good news. Coolant in the crankcase.......that's the bad news.
