Removed decals, best way to remove adhesive?

Don't use brake clean.

That is a horrible suggestion. It dries and eats plastic and it will destroy paint.

3M Tar and Adhesive is what I have used for 5+ years. You used to be able to get it at Wal-Mart but I have had a hard time finding it lately. NAPA or any other auto parts store should have it.

It is safe on all cured automotive paints, it will not harm plastic. Works great.

What he said lol. You can use it but it will take paint off so you might want to be fast and don't let it sit there. The stuff melts styrofoam... I would just rub it off.

Sometimes the hood will get faded all over except for ware the decals are so you might just have shiney paint in spots. It is an old sled.

Got her done, but i'm about out of elbow grease! Must have not been doin' it right 'cause I had to rub awfully hard to get it to come off. For the record Goo Gone didn't work as well as WD-40!

in order of money required:

lemon juice < WD40 < 3M stuff

next time try more stuff :), and lighter fluid works good as well.
