Reliable turbo kit

Is any one making decent kits for newer bikes? Most kits I've seen advertised seem to be for older bikes. And would like a bit of real world input from guys running them. Would like a little more power and not sold on nitrous. Have a buddy with a turboed Honda and it pulls hard, but older bike. Looking for a 16 450fx at the moment, but might also be rigging up another bike. Thanks in advance.

Have a kms on my ktm ... Blew a crank seal last year caused a lot of issues... 6 hours this season because of crappy snow everything seems good... Will be riding again this week in some real snow... So far impressed by the low end and progressive pull... Another guy ran a kawi stock with boondocker and no issues for 40 hours ..

Well I will give you the kms review in a few weeks.. ... Mine is big bore, throttle body and front mount though... After going through it I know the aerocharger would interest me.... Changing oil is a pain in the arse and a lot of plumbing... I find the turbo goes through oil pretty fast...that's my 2 cents the aero is self contained ..

Look at the King Kong from RAZE. Pro charger based super charger kit. From what I understand the technology used in the turbo kits was never advanced enough to keep them running good and running at the same time. At different elevations anyway.

I'm not sure "Reliable" and "Turbo kit" belong in the same sentence. If it was easy there would be lots of kits out there. Its asking a lot of the engine components many of which are already running close to the edge. 2006 Yamaha Apex 4 cylinder, throw 8 lbs at it untouched motor and it'll run 20000 miles, any single cylinder dirt bike motor not so much.

I really think it comes down to making it work on so many different type bikes and the all changing engines... I went with a 14 ktm 450 sxf because the cam profile/ crank rod was a match for the turbo.... But you are pushing some major hp through that one cylinder... So things will break...

It's not worth boosting a single for less than 12-14 psi. That is where they really start to make some power. But that is also where stock cast pistons start to crack and titanium valves can break. My YZ450 has been turbo'd since it was new. 170 hours on it now. I run 16+ psi boost, stainless steel valves, HD springs, and a forged 9.5:1 piston. As far as the "kit" goes, I would not call it reliable. I am always wrenching on something or another. It started life as a KMS but I have had to modify it so much that I basically consider it homemade. The system is still not what I want it to be because I am reluctant to switch to a different size turbo. When I get a new bike I plan to build my next system from scratch using the knowledge I have acquired, because no one sells a decent turbo kit for these bikes.
