Rekluse idle rpm

Hey guys, I am wondering what everyone has there idle rpm set at for the Rekluse auto clutches? I have a 2011 kx450 that I put a radius x in for this year? Any pros or cons with higher or lower rpm settings? Thanks in advance!

450sx would die

Wish I could be more helpful. I had a '13 450sxf that would die if you snapped the throttle. For instance making a tight u-turn and you hammer the throttle to keep from falling over to the inside, it would puke and die. This is not supposed to happen with a Rekluse. This is what I spent $900 to prevent. Stiffer small springs helped. No tach so I can't give you rpm data. I prefer engagement rpm's just high enough to prevent engine dying.

it's all about low enough to get the bottom without flame outs. stiffer springs come on later, heavier weights come on harder. play with both, find the balance of smooth without stalling and your good. lower the idle if needed to keep it from dragging, as long as it doesn't stall or flame out when you burp it.

Mine is on an 11 crf450r. It was perfect right out of the box. Set the idle in neutral. If you can snap the throttle in neutral without flameout you should be good to go.

Rekluse works perfect, its operator error every time.the issue is not having free play gain set properly and the idle needs moved up jus a tad when using auto clutch.

Or engagement ... Sometimes what they instruct to use spring wise is not always the best for how someone rides... For myself I always have like / used a higher engagement setting for snowbikes ...

I set my bike idle at 1600 to 1700. and the recluse kicks in at about 1800-1850. Some people like it a little lower so at idle its kinda grabbing. Just means you need to use your clutch more or risk burning clutch plates.

Rekluse is much easier on the plates and frictions than stock, It engages while rpm is lower where stock clutch rpms is much higher and more slippage.
