reecer creek blewitt info

I road blewitt a few years back well about 4 years and i had a blast! I only had my 650 back then with a 136" and there was about 3 feet of powder. I went most of the places my buddy with his m7 162"

The Scoop

A couple of friends and I went up to check snow conditions in the 4X4's on Thursday the 18th (12/18/09). We headed up Wilson Canyon on the road that joins reccer. On the road their was at least 8" of new over a 4"-6" at 4000'-6000' ft of elevation (not quite sure, I'm guessing). There were a few tracks, I would be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when venturing off the road. There is enought to ride on the road, but you have go a long ways up to be safe, even on the road. I would wait until we get a good snow again before going riding IMO, but it has been raining here at 2000' ft so it might be snowing. PM8.

Summit girl nailed it. we rode blewett last wednesday. Naneum meadows had roughly 30-36". Be careful off trail. Looks are deceiving. My buddy had an abrupt dismount :eek: due to a buried rock.

Unloaded today at the gravel pit on the Reecer side, rode out east and found a lot of places that were untracked. We were able to carve and do some climbing. I don't think we'll be riding until we receive more snow.

Well I found the road of rut's, friggin made for a miserable ride for a mile or two....Need a couple feet of snow at least to fill em' in

In defense of PowderMan800, I rode that Wilson Creek Road from Reecer in Oct. on my DirtBike. There were serious deep ruts of dried mud left from the springtime. This little bit of snow we had would not have fixed those. It's not all his fault....

Went up through Blewitt this morning with the kids (2-1/2 & 4 year olds) for their first ride with mom and dad. We were one of the first groups out so the grooming was still really nice. We went out to Haney Meadows and then up to Lion Rock. The snow wasn't to bad, found some soft stuff but still very low on depth. The regular areas that we play in still had a lot of trees showing up. On a positive note, the kids had blast on their first ride, and did really well. Got them back to the truck and they were asking if we can go again tomorrow...guess they are hooked already. I guess that means I will have to go riding more now just to keep them happy, what a shame:D:beer;
