Recommended Play Spots for Short Track

Brand new to snowmobiles and am curious as to where good play spots are for a 121" snocross chassis. I like jumping and can't side hill anything to save my life. I’ve rode dirt bikes all my life but not sleds. Thinking of heading up to cooper tomorrow but have also heard of spots near kaches.

Fish lake near leavenworth has TONS of trails if thats your thing. As for jumping and such you will have alot of fun anywhere around here come spring time.

I may get flamed for telling you about fish lake causse theres already enough crazies blasting up and down those trails but hey, just be cutious of fellow riders and it's all good.

Head tward sugarloaf and theres some tree riding thats do'able witha shorty when the snow is set up.

But honestly, just give in, you'll be buying a 144" before you know it. :D

I agree with the flakey one here...
I always thought that if I had another short track toy like an MXZ 600 or something that Fish Lake would be a great place to have a good time.

Lots of people there so you have to be careful and ride courteous but the grooming is outstanding there for racing around.

Was actually there this weekend. Rode out of a cabin a buddy has at lake wenatchee. Rode to snow cone, the airport, and I think its fish lake with people ice fishing on. Lots of familys on the trails. I would hate to hit some kid or person head on. Just looking for jumps now because I can't side hill/turn/climb anything on a sled. haha Skills aren't there yet. Only thing I feel comfortable doing is jumping.

Rode motocross most of my entire life and then decided to take up sledding hard about 6/7 years ago. Thought to myself, "a set of handlebars and a throttle...piece of cake" boy what a learning curve I had coming. Started on a 136 XLT, several sleds later, riding an M8 162. Sledding...what an addictive drug...just like bikes. Good luck with your riding, enjoy and be safe. Won't be long you'll be sidehilling and carving with the best of them.

same deal moto to sled, rode a 136 for yrs, rmk and rev. Now i love my m8 162, you will learn to side hill. You can find jumps everywhere, and get to the good spots by hitting the hills a little faster and ride harder.
