Recall 2021 3,5" Series 8 drivers?

Hmm it sure looks like they cut your rail tips to install the new caps.
I'm sure they did. In hind sight I would have used my spare raw aluminum rails for this "experiment" before letting them fugly this set.

I'm sure your dealer was just doing what they thought was right but I wouldn't let Polaris get away with it if I was you. In what realm is it okay for a manufacture to fix an engineering blunder by taking a saw and cutting off part of your sled?

I have limited experience with anti-stab kits, but the few aftermarket set ups I've seen all require cutting of the rail. I assumed it was SOP for this as well. I'd be interested to see the instructions for this kit.

Perhaps you or someone else can get a copy from the service dept...?

I've spent the last hour trying to find any information on this "kit" at all and have come up empty handed.

I do know that the correct way for Polaris to fix this is to include the 2022+ rails in the kit. The entire 2022+ rails will bolt right onto your sled and were originally engineered for extrovert drivers that you got in the kit.

What the service advisory doesn't tell you is they actually changed the track itself too and use a different compound for the 2022+ track. I have ridden them side by side - my 2021 with avids versus a couple 2022's with the new set up and there is zero comparison. The Polaris set up is smooth as butter and you can run the tracks even more loose than mine with Avids.

That's disappointing to hear. My friend and I had to put on work to even get the dealer to look and find the service bulletin. It was like talking to a brick wall at two different dealers. It sounds like it's a few months out for parts and with the season upon us I'm debating just buying the avid drivers and an anti stab. The last ride of the season, my track was ratcheting so bad I thought something was going to break.

I would be surprised if you can't wrangle up the parts for this update right now being that they have been making these parts for over a year now. I was able to find a driveshaft in about two minutes. I would press your dealer harder or make a call straight to Polaris.

I have a great dealer and I've been in communication with him about this issue from day one so I think this was on his radar already. Luckily they had the parts for the update when I went in last week.

And what all parts did they change for your recall?
Thanks.

Going to be 10 days or more before I find out with my own eyes when I get back from work. I was told they have the parts but they are backed up due to trying to do all the fuel tank recalls and building new sleds. I do know I will be getting a new track though. My center window was starting to tear from all of the ratcheting. I kept pictures and had it into the dealership several times to make sure the ratcheting and track deterioration problem was well documented so when the time came I would have a leg to stand on.

From what I can tell they installed a new driveshaft, drivers, anti stab, limit straps and hifax.

Yeah I'm going to keep pressing the issue. I may do like you mentioned and contact Polaris directly though. The dealer I actually was able to get info from is an hour and a half away so that's a inconvenient thing. Called dealer in town about that and the fuel tank recall last week and they told me the factory doesn't even have a fix for the recall yet and didn't think there was a bulletin for drivers. It's been a battle lol

Bummer for you and what a terrible dealer. The fuel tank recall parts are already arriving at dealers.

Looking to confirm before buying a used Series 8 2.75 track.....these tracks are 3.5" pitch correct ?

Got my sled back today. Turned out good. Will be nice to not have to run the track so freaken tight! They did the tank update at the same time. It sounds like they removed every thing that was metal in the tank and replaced it with plastic. Hopefully everthing stays together in there.

Does anyone have pics of the drive lug or window damage were they would replace the track under warranty? I wonder if you have any torn up flaps on the traction side if they will deny track warranty altogether
Thx

I have a 2021 axys 155 khoas 850, Anyone know which powder freaks drivers to order ? Is it the NEW POWDERFREAKS 6 TOOTH 3.5 PITCH POLARIS HEX SHAFT EXTROVERT DRIVER or the POWDERFREAKS 6 TOOTH 3.5 PITCH POLARIS MATRYX EXTROVERT DRIVER. Do i need to cut the rails ?
