Rebuild or not

Have a 06 600HO, last weekend the stator came loose, bolt came out, flywheel grabbed it, both stator and flywheel toast. One bolt hole in top case needs to get welded and re-drilled, some minor damage on case where the stator sits. I can get the hole and case repaired at my work. I have never had to do any rebuild on my modern sleds(lots on the 80 and pre 80 ones though). Wifes 01 600 has been bullet proof. This 600HO, don't know what to do. Had 1600 miles when I got it last year, now has 2200 or so. The engine itself looks good but it has to come apart to fix the cases. Should I do the top end or leave it? I am going to measure pistons, bores, check runout on crank. At the very least it is getting full gaskets and seals, water pump not leaking but don't know whether to pull it apart or leave it. Compression was around 120/side last year. Thing is I am on a tight budget as the wife is out of work right now. There looks to be some light blow by past the rings. Pistons and jugs look mint, seems to be running rich as domes are fully covered(no wash). Looking for advice as not much experience with this motor. Heard good things about it. I am most concerned with the top end, could I get by with just new rings and seals?
