Rear skid weight

Whats the weight of a stock 155 pro rear skid? I did a bunch of searches and cant come up with anything.

What about the aftermarkets? anyone have a weight for those too??

I believe KMod and Ezyryde are around 42lbs and Timbersled like 39 thats prolly with air shocks though. Kmods titanium arm skid is under 40lbs

Burandt had a full carbon/titanium stock skid with his Fox air shocks built last year that wieghed 29lbs

Thanks... I was trying to come up with a plan. I probably have one now.

I was looking at the tit Kmod. if its only 3 pounds or so savings over their standard skid, not really worth the extra coin. I can eat a few less lunch specials and shed 5lbs.

That light Nextech would be nice, just not sure how well it works. Plus it looks like I might need a calculator with some more zero's to add up how much it will cost.

Not my intention to derail here, but whats the cost comparison between brands besides the weight?

It really depends on what you want. Kmod and timber sled sell upgrades for the stock skid from 900-1600, or turn key skids from 2500-3500 depending on options. The full carbon nextech is 5000. I believe burandts was a titanium set up from alternative impact with fox shocks and nextechs carbon fiber rails which would be around 4500

would be nice to get an exact on all those makers in weight and cost for this thread. I dont see where kmod lists any price for the ti kit. They do say as light as 38# for a 153'' track. I imagine burandts was working with a way longer skid. I saw the vid where he weighed it. It was the alt impact skid. According to the ai site that kit is $1800, and nextech has their rails at $1200, so add another grand in shocks puts that at $4000 for a 29# skid. Anyone know what a timber sled skid weighs? Nextech list a 163'' at 34#. cool stuff for sure

Timbersled is same as stock. Couple lbs lighter if you get floats. If you go to their website you can check out the options and costs and transfer it all to this thread if you want.

Keep in mind the titanium set up from alt imp is not turn key. They are assuming you have a stock skid to reuse parts from.

By the time you include wheels, Ti bolt kit, hyfaxes, etc. you are at $5000 for that skid Burandt was running. Most complete turn-key skids I have seen start at $2600 no matter what manufacturer is selling them, and they go up from there.

Burandt's isn't even coupled yet. Whammmoo insert $2500 more for ARC, and you have a skid that costs more than a new Ford Fiesta.

I read on dans site that all comes with ti bolts for thta price. Ti is cool just too rich for my blood. Love his a arms but had to get them in cr moly, ya cause my wife said so! lol

Not that it makes a difference but I'm pretty sure burandt runs the cable arc so that's not 2600, it retails around 1250 i think.

The 155 Pro skid I have for the project I am working on weighs 40 Lbs without scratchers and 43 Lbs with. This is on a bathroom scale though.

Kmod skid 155 (stock rails) with raptor shocks, scratchers and anti stab is 50.3lbs.

Bathroom scale used here too.
