just looking to get a little more out of my sled

1- if i was to take the slids that the square torsion spring go's through and re-mount it about an 1'' back to try to make the rear a little stiffer is there any cons to this? other than it puts the spring closer to the track

2- does somebody make a rear suspension coupler for this sled useing the stock skid?? i know somebody makes one for the cats.

I hate how my sled transfers so much at low speeds skis come up and gets really tippy

Just install the next heavier springs, way better overall ride even in the powder.

most likely if you arnt careful, moving the blocks back will allow the spring end to poke the track as it gets compressed since as you move it back the spring changes to a steeper angle...what you might try doing is moving the lower rear arm mounting bolt about 1/2 inch forward if your rails will allow it, this should stiffen the rear since it stands the rear arms up more vertical allowing the arms to have more leverage over the rails..first I would try shortening the limiter straps and softening the frt track shock since they will contribute to over transfering too...

I had the limiter straps as tight as they would go without shorting the straps them selves, when i was home for turkey day i actually put the straps in the center hole, i know this wont help what iam trying to accomplish but it rode and handled alot better, i mainly noticed the ride. Cant remember wich way i have the front track shock mounted i know its mounted so its more layed down in the suspension and i also have the lower shock mounting pointed moved toward the rear of the skid 1/2in.

AK i have the rear scissor section mounted back 1/2-1" is that what you are talking about????

I know i need a stiffer rear suspension just standing on it, it drops alot i couldnt imagine what the suspension looks like going up a hill with the skis in the air, its probley got the Cali rake

rear skid

i bought 2010 d8 had same problems at first i hated the sled. the sled would just bog down like the stock springs are to lite put heavier springs fixed the sage but the transfer still sucked no mater where i set the limater always wanted to ride a wheely up the hill well long story short i know a guy that makes suspension for them little spendy but worth every penny it is called a kmod it makes the whole skid work at once increases ski pressure so you have control the hole time and still rides good down the trail it is so worth it.
