Rear shock is touching the track , had the shocks revalved , put it back in and noticed this.
800 axys 163
Powerclaw track on it
What would cause this ?

Loosened the track a bit , gained some clearance (1/4”)
Sled was originally sitting on Polaris oem track tension.

I have the same problem on my 2016 SKS... it looks to me that the top bar on the rear torque arm is bent on mine. Not sure if this is the same problem as yours but something I would check out.

Correct me if I’m wrong but in the pic it looks like you have it installed wrong. That upper mount should swing down 180 degrees and shock will be underneath that cross member.

They are very close clearance and if the bushings are worn in the end of the shock they can touch the track. That is a nice suspension coupler you have there!

It’s all in there correctly I believe , looked at a few other pics from around the Internet and the shock is above the cross member .
Also took pics before I took it apart to be sure.

I’m going to guess you have a bent rear torque arm also.

I see you have an add on rear suspension coupler.

Are the shocks upgraded?
Or just stock monotubes?
(Bottoming out hard can bend the rear torque arm)

Revalved monotubes ... only 500 miles on skid and I don’t jump or send it.
0 rides on the coupler when this photo was taken.
I have about 1/4”-3/8” clearance in there .

I’ll inspect the arm closer

I'm not a jumper or cornice dropper either....... but, hammering down beat up/ whooped out trails can also bend rails and rear suspension components ....

If it's touching something is out of alignment...something bent is very likely no matter how many miles or how you ride

Front torque arm, not rear. And the shock isn't touching the track yet. But I still figured this bent front torque arm might be relevant if someone discovers this thread with a search. It was just from bottoming out in the whoops.
