Enjoy the powder, Semi's insurance should cover freight back to MN. Then a fat juicy check for a trailer should show up. If you need, they should cover rental or even U haul.
hell, use insurance to rent and then go buy the trailer that you have been dreaming about.
really, sux to hear, but hopefully it'll all work out in the end.
No none of use were hurt. The insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow. Then we should be able to narrow down our options. We need to make sure the trucking company is found responsable and they will be cutting us a check before we go buying a trailer. The trailer was insured but they will not cover any expenses other than the trailer.
The riding has been great so far but the snow is starting to set up.
Well, we have a hauler.... after 400 phone calls and two and a half lost days of riding, we have a way home. Of course it's rented.
Thanks to all who offered suggestions and help, it really speeks to the generosity of the people in the snowmobiling community.
We are by no means done yet. The police report has not been released so everything is at a stand-still. No doubt this will take weeks to sort out with all the different insurence companies involved.
At the end of the day I'd like to kick the driver of that truck in the nuts as thanks for the huge PITA this has been. I just got out of the truck now after 12 of driving to Helena to get the trailer instead of riding.
