Does anyone have any good ideas on what works to re waterproof bibs? I have tried snowseal but after a few rides I start to get wet again.

Klim sells Revivex. I have never used it but if its a Klim product it must be good. Or you could bite the bullet and invest in some good gore-tex bibs.

I went to the local sporting/ski store and they sold me a bottle of stuff that you wash in. Put all your stuff in the washing machine, pour in this pint of whatever it was and let it do its thing. Seamed to work really well, but I can remember what it was called.

YUP. Best money Ive ever spent. I have never been wet in my Klim gear.

Camp dry is awesome, but you do have to re-treat as it wears off. I am with Freak on this one - only mine usually goes about 4-5 years, then I replace it.

wet

my under layers were making me soaked because I put the poly underwear in the dryer...the heat microscopically melts it and it doesn't breath and you just sweat till soaked.....from the inside out.....possibly this could be a contributory factor to any ongoing problem you might have

I'm going to try nikwax this year. They carry it at some outdoor store I had to order it online from REI and do an instore pickup. Nikwax website claims you have to retreat your goretex to keep it waterproof, after so many washes it looses its ability to keep water out. They have a product to wash it in first then you add another product that treats it to make it waterproof all done in the washing machine. The website is www.nikwax-usa.com

Go to the official Gore-tex website.I have Cabelas Gore-tex bibs for 8 yrs now, I retreat them with Revivex. Usually evry spring,Gore-tex does not recomend using a wash in treatment.

I dealt with wet azz for years and tried lots of stuff but it only helped alittle. The only way to stay dry is a good pair of Gore-tex pants. I am on my 5th year with my Reima pants and they still keep me nice and dry.

the part of "poly underwear..just sweat till soaked"... TMI

Thanks to all that replied. The bibs are reimas with gor-tex so I think i'm going to try the Revivex. We will see what happens. If it doesn't work out I will get some klim.

this stuff works, as mentioned before get the nikwax, two part system, nikwax tech wash to clean the garmets. then use t.x. direct wash in, this stuff is awsome. recomended for gore-tex, sympatex, permatex and e-vent. no i do not sell this stuff but i do use it and it works great.

Once the gortex starts wearing out we use Grangers 2in1 and get a couple more seasons out of it. Washing additive works very very well.

Also use polypropolenye (sp) long johns, under shirt and briefs. I use it on my dirt bike also. Really keeps you dry against your skin no matter what.
