is there anyone up there with their ears on? Can i get a real time update? I know they got good snow earlier in the week but i am sure it has set up by now? Chance of weather coming in...worth the trip?

I am such a powder snob.

rode Thursday at RE out of MC. I lost 1 belt and ran out of gas at 49 miles. In the trees it was very soft, but starting to get sticky. Meadows were mashed tatoes in most places. snow was going fast after about 2:00. wish I could give you a more current report as of yesterday, but got to work some time....

If your looking for meadow carving that's a no go on the powder snobbery. If you ride steep north slopes, then it's still not set up enough!

It was 50 degrees at MC the last few days and looks to be another warm one. Snowpack is still good and cold down below the crust though. Another week and that will start to change. Get it while it lasts! crunchy corn coming soon.

Looked very sticky when I drove through today to pick up my sled from the dealer. I thought about it for one second then opted to shred the dirt 65 miles south on Hwy 131. Good times! FYI, dirt bike shape and sledding shape are two different animals.

rode thurs and fri those were the best days friends went yesterday and were gettin stuck in the mashed taters, takin wife today stickin to the trails, good snows gone.

just got back from ridin ears, very surprised the snow up high not to bad,was able to lay the sled over in a few places, 40 degrees, a great spring ride with my wife.

I am a powder snob, must be because I was really disapointed in the snow. It is spring so it is expected, but the snow is very heavy and tatery.

Yep. Dirt season officially opens here next Thursday. Fogging the sleds this coming weekend

Was starting to get wet and works you over pretty good, but spring is for banging this stuff not meadow mashers. Still too soft to get anywhere back in here.

I was happy with the snow at the ears. Plenty soft in the trees for sidehilling and making great lines. Snow was tricky for sure with the warm temps, but that was just an added challenge:) I happened to step next to a tree Saturday and sunk up to my chin. Kinda wish the helmet cam was running. I love that pic bushy, can't wait to return. We caught that 'area' not long after you guys were there.

you know your life is good when you are *****ing about the texture of the snow quality....back east i would do back flips for 6 inches of fresh slop...

Now, unless it muffles the engine, i cant see or breathe greater than 50% of the time, i got no interest. i wont get out of bed for 6 inches...how funny

it poured rain all the way to the MC lot yesterday. we rode in fresh wet snow for the first 10 minutes and then it cleared. 2 inches fresh tops. BP has 9 feet on the stick. great base but we need some freshies. hero snow.

hot springs was great though...
