Re-gear my 2006 RMK (755)?

Thanks.

I placed an order on Bikeman Performance.

Hyvo 19/42 gears and 76p chain. Can't wait until it gets here :D

Its snowing like **** outside :beer;

anyone try 18/42

I was wondering if anyone has tried 18/42 in a 06 900 or 08 to 09 800 dragon. If so how's it working for you and what track are you running?

Got the gears today!

Thank you Bikeman! :D

Just waiting for the swine-flu to calm down before i go out and start mounting the new gears.

Anything to think about when mounting the gears? Or is it plug n play ?

Thanks!

It took a while, must of had light winds in the sails!! I always retorque the fasteners on the gears. Be aware of spacer placement if you have them. Also, don't forget to hang on tighter when you pin the throttle!!!

Yeah, it usually takes from 2-3 weeks when ordering from the US to Norway. But its worth it.

Both gears, new chain and a bottle of chaincase oil delivered to me for less than then price of just the upper gear in Norway! ;)

What do you mean by "retorque the fasteners of the gears"?
My technical english is not that good.

The nut on the top gear on my 04 700 (called castle nut) is torqued (tightened) to 50 foot lbs. or 69 Nm. The sprocket bolt on the bottom is tightened to 19 ft. lbs. or 26 Nm. I can't say yours would be exactly the same, but should be close. It would be in your service manual if you have one.

I don't have a service manual.

Anyone who can confirm the torques SD Coyote mentioned above?

Bottom gear: 19 ft. lbs. or 26 Nm
Upper gear: 50 foot lbs. or 69 Nm

Also, how much should the screws on the chaincase cover be tightened/torqued?

The bottom gear comes with a spacer that i cant find on the original setup?

Where is the spacer to be placed? Inside or outside of the gear?

look on-line for higmark recreation out of boise, idaho. I just bought a pair of 18 top/43 bottom gears for my 08 rmk 600. (cost me 95.00 and change)ask for reggie. i get to use the stock chain cause i just changed the ratio from the top gear to the bottom gear taking away from my top speed but since i play in the mountains i get all the lower end grunt you can handle. i may only be able to go 70-80 mph but i get there quicker than anyone else. i know they will ship to you for a moderate price.... hope this helps

botto gear, if u have the 5/16 bolt..19...if u have the 3/8 bolt 25 or so

8 ft lbs on case bolts, spacer goes on inside of gear. ...just make sure the gears line up as some have spacer and some do not
