Wait a sec! You have a nanny but I thought you stayed at home with the kiddies or were you talking about the wifey. bet she'd like being referred to as a nanny!

nope its a nanny...don't use her very often but she is usually there for when I need to get out and do some friday sledding.

Must be nice! I'm stuck at home till Friday night every freakin weekend. I hope that this Alaska gig pans out. Then I can make enough coin to take the winter off and put both kids in daycare and ride every day!

I don't work so I don't have to put my kids in daycare and here you are maybe going to Alaska to work so you can put them in daycare! LOL

No, I am going to work (hopefully) for the summer working equipment in a gravel pit in order to make some money since I can't find a halfway decent job here. Colorado's economy for engineering, land surveying and development is DEAD! I have no choice. All of my savings has been drained and I had 6months salary in there. Medical bills have sucked me dry. Unfortunately my wife doesn't make 6 figures a year to allow me to stay at home, it should be the other way, but all engineering firms and land surveying outfits aren't working so I am forced to do this in order to keep our home. I have stayed at home with PJ for 3 of the last 5 months and both kids for the last 2. Hardest thin g I have ever done. I am not cut out to be a stay at home dad! You obviously are and I envy you for that!

Glad to hear you did find something ... Hopefully it will pick up back here soon enough and you won't have to stay up there forever.

Ya never know though man you might get up there and decide you like it like Chad did :)
 
I've been staying home most of the time since I moved out from MI last fall and love it! My kids are 8 and 10 though so they go to school every day. :-)I was caught in the automotive downsizing, but I was fortunate to lease my house out in MI and have a family house to live in for free here. I got a few months of severance pay and unemployment, so I've been able to try and start a business out here. :o SO anyway, is this ride next weekend still on? Looks like maybe some new snow this weekend over 8500ft..
