I use the 'mach' for my boys on occasion. The trick I've found is you have to "adjust" them so the loose skin is pulled tight over the marble so you get a smooth shave.

I just trim the rest down these days. The velcro effect really sucks.

I like the cheap, two bladed disposable gilettes. I get less razor burn/bumps with these than any of the fancy numbers. Also, it's not very practical, but shaving in the afternoon/evening is way more comfortable for me. If you really want it close, shave once with the grain, than again against the grain.
