Razors?

What do you guys use for razors? I have been using a Mach 3 for years now. I thought about changing it up a bit.

I have to shave at least once a day, and sometimes twice (on those 20 hour days). I use the Fusion Power. It's the best I've found. I'm the guy who has the 5-o'clock shadow at noon, and on days when I shave at 0200, it's ugly by the afternoon. Fusion Power at least seems to keep it at bay for a normal 10-12 hour work day.

I pay about $13.50/4 pack for the blades...not cheap by any means.

I use the same, its seems to work fairly decent. I just hate paying that much for blades though, but as RMK7SledHead stated its the best available.

oh, another note: I've found my shaves are better with the Gillette Fusion gel too. I use the sensitive skin stuff, cause my neck gets tore up from gear rubbing on it all day and shaving just irritates the crap out of it. I haven't experimented with a ton of shaving creams, but this one works the best that I've used.

if anyone has ANY good tips for shaving in general, I'd LOVE to hear them. I used to shave twice a week when I was a nasty civilian, but no more...stand-by for 20 years of daily shaving. :)

I've been using the Mach 3 for a long time....almost since I started shaving like 12 years ago. I've used the fusion and I liked it, but the blades were more expensive than the mach ones so I stopped using it.

I use the sensitive skin gel too, my neck gets some pretty bad razor burn if I dont.

My only tip that I can share is that if you want a nice baby smooth face, let your face grow for a couple of days and then shave it off. I dont have that option most of the time since I've got to shave every morning before work.

When I go on leave I do my best to look like grizzly adams by the time i return.

not a huge beard grower so on my 2 or 3 times a week I use the mach 3. tried the fusion 5 blade deal but I thought I actually got better shave with the 3 blade so I'm back to it.

side note, I say by tomorrow someone will be talking about another "area"

The Fusion 5 blade works great in that "other" area, but you have to be a little more careful with the "loose" skin down there.

Man am I glad I found this thread!

I use the 'mach' for my boys on occasion. The trick I've found is you have to "adjust" them so the loose skin is pulled tight over the marble so you get a smooth shave.

I just trim the rest down these days. The velcro effect really sucks.

I have found that technique works very well also. I do not suggest using the Mach or the Fusion razor for trimming around the trunk. This is best handled by the electric clippers.

Why wait till tomorrow...that can get out of control too! Norelco though with the adjustable trimmer there. My wife likes fine hair on the chest, so get your minds out of the gutter!

But another vote for a Mach 3 for the face. Costco sent me the fusion power for free, but the blades are too expensive and to me it shaves just as well as the 3. I recently switched to a shave cream which seems to keep razor bumps down.

Fusion Power. I thought the 5 blade thing was retarded but once I tried it I was hooked. The blades last longer than a hand ful of shaves, the stubble flushes out of the blades and you just kinda slap it along your face and it works. Even after a bunch of shaves, it's still better than my old Gillette Atra when the blade was brand new.

My pnly complaint is the price of the blades. I think they're great but they shouldn't cost 20 or 30 bucks for 4 blades.

For what? Upstairs or downstairs?:eek::eek:

I use a Mach III, and I shave right after I get out of the shower, it opens my pores and softens the whiskers, making my face smooth as silk. At least for a couple of hours.:rolleyes: I also use the sensitive skin shaving cream from Gillette.

No freaking chit!:mad: It costs me 3 bucks a gallon just to drive to Wal-mart.
