Rave Question

Pulled the rave valves on my 07 800 summit for a cleaning. It appears that the coating is starting to flake off in the same place on both valves (see pic). Is this normal wear? Should I replace them? :confused:Thanks.

Have you ever replaced them? There have been a lot of horror stories of them breaking on the 07 and Doo made a new part number for the later versions of the 800r. I just ordered a set for mine as a precautionary measure. Only cost about 100 bucks for them both and based on the failure that results seemed like worthwhile spend to me. Since yours are out you might want to do the same. The new ones will be a 906 model versus a 905 and will be made in Germany.

Thanks for the response. I've never replaced them. After doing a little more research, I agree that the best option appears to be to replace them with the newer 906 version.

Yes replace them, mine were the same way on closer inspection there were cracks in the same location. I replaced mine with 09 valves.
