Ratcheting sound and feel when braking hard on 2013 pro rmk 600

Was up riding today on my 2013 pro rmk 600 and noticed when I brake hard sometimes there is a ratcheting sound and feel. Not sure what would cause this and what the fix would be. Is this normal for pro rmk sleds with the quick drive belt systems? Thanks

Describe your track tensioning method.

If that's the original quick drive belt, make sure your track is tight are it could rip a few cogs of the quick drive belt if the track ratchets.

I see an M-sled in your avatar... Polaris track tension is much different...and much tighter... the proper tension has no "free hang" in the track... You'll need a 10 lb dumbbell or kettlebell to tension the track...

All is outlined in your owners manual.
