Anyone have some feedback to share on the dual ski. At 1250.00 it's quite an investment. Help a Brother out. :) Thanks

It's awesome! I had never been on a snowbike before in my life until last Sunday when we went to Cooke to go test the new CMX kits with the X2 up front. The stability down the trail is great and the way it holds a sidehill on crusty snow was effortless. You won't be disappointed!

My opinion is that you are obviously very intelligent based on your response to my post.

So anyways...besides Speedemon's very useful review, has anyone else rode the X2 ski that can give a good comparison to the timbersled and/or Yeti ski?

My cheap a$$ would like to know.

We got to R&D the X2 last winter next to a TS ski.
You have to ride it.

I am seriously interested in the X2 ski and would like some comparisons as more people put time in on it. I'm interested in the Yeti ski as well.

Well I have perfected a tri-ski called TICS. Center ski does not articulate or move, just the two outboard ski's as u turn left or right, or on a side hill. They are made out of proprietary resins and carbon fiber, with titanium fittings and are half the weight of TS, Yeti or Raptor X2 ski systems and cost 75% less! The carbides never wash out and the ski's float effortlessly over any powder or snow conditions. No need for wheels on roadways or gravel etc. "0" friction. They would make an excellent Christmas gift. TICS = Tongue In Cheek System:eyebrows:

Ill report back after this weekend. Been rocking timbersled setups, '13, '14 and now a 16 kit with TSS ( 10 rides so far this year) and really like them and can say I am fairly comfortable with the ins and outs of them with a LOT of miles on the various revisions of the kit.

Will be putting on my X2 kit this week and seeing how it stacks up to what I am used to! Super nice parts pulling them out of the box, now to see how they ride on the snow. I have rode them on the CMX kits demoing in spring snow, but I didnt go rip it like it was my own, so time to REALLY put it through the paces.

I'm looking forward to this review.

I'm all in

I had a good conversation with Mark at CMX yesterday. I trust his evaluation of the X2 ski and ordered it thru him. He modifies the skags which he says makes it even more impressive. I should have it soon. I have ridden the Timbersled ski for 3 years and even though I have adapted to it's unpredictable behavior I'm ready for a ski that is fun to rail on the trail! I should have been a Poet! I'll post back after I've ridden with it.

Mark definitely knows the most about them especially since they tested them last spring for a good amount of time. The tested with other brands of skis on the raptor front end and came to be overly satisfied with the current ski that the x2 comes with modified to a larger skag for optimum handling.
