ramp profile

anybody got pics or drawings showing the difference between a 300, a 301 and a 415 tra ramp?

if no pics can you explain the difference between them?

Thanks, Harold

The 300 series ramps are for the TRA2 clutch and the 415 ramps fit the TRA3 clutch. I don't have pics but can tell you that the 300 ramps came in the early MXZ 800's (2001). The 415's I believe came in the 2004 800 Summits. Just so you know, they will Not interchange....Hope this helps.:)

TRA III vs TRA II ramp profiles

TRA 3 PART # TRA EQUIVALENT
410 417 222 596 299
411 417 222 514 299
412 417 222 515 293
414 417 222 546 300
415 417 222 548 300 less load at beginning
417 417 222 552 293 less load at beginning
419 417 222 557 414 with engagement notch

This should clear things up a bit.

The best way to put it would be:
The 300 Ramp is the equivalent to the 415, except for the initial low speed shift.
I believe what that means is that the 415 was designed to shift in a bit more easily for deep snow.(Avoids trenching out)

Difference between the 299 300 and 301 would be best explained by:
299 = 800HO w/136" track
300 = 800HO w/151" track
301 = 800HO w/159" track

The ramp angles from 299 to 301 keep getting steeper, which pulls more RPM to get it up there.
You would use the more steep angle the larger track you had to turn.
Or you would us the more steep angle the higher elevation you would go.
make sense?
