Rail reinforcement?

I have recently cracked a rail on my 144 IQ near the rear as well as bent the same rail. I had it tig'd and straightened but recently re cracked the area today after a few drops. Im going to have to totally replace the rail and possibly the other one if its twisted and im wondering if there is any way that i could reinforce the rails? A few friends with IQR's have an overlapped bracing near the rear and I'm wondering if there are any other similar products available for my IQ rails?

Thanks in advance guys!

good luck

Polaris makes a factory reinforcement for the weak part in the rail but i dont know of any other companys that do, I'm not saying there isnt any though. Your best bet would be to start over instead of trying to tigg weld the rails I know its more expensive but it sucks getting stranded too. Good luck and i wish i could help some more.

I will have to look into the Polaris ones today. Yeah the welded rail was a temporary fix just so i could go out and ride this weekend. I was unable to get a new one in on time and didn't want to miss out on some awesome conditions not to mention I'm on payed holidays from work and wanted to make it count!

Are the Polaris reinforcements the same ones that come on the Assault/Dragon?

After contacting Polaris i was able to find out the ones that come on the assault retail for 50 a side without the bump stops or any hardware. After hardware and bumps stops it would come to an approx $150. I was able to source some older polaris rail reinforcments from Ebay that came with the bump stops, hardware and an aluminum cross shaft for 65 shipped. Should be at my place in a few days

I have used MS paint to show where my rail had cracked as well as bent.

hey if your looking for some new rails I have a brand new set off my 2010 800 rmk. they have 0 miles on them and come with the bumpers, rail tips and sliders. I am wanting $300.00 for the set. I am on the alberta/sask border so shipping wouldn't be to much.
