Radio controlled snowmobiles

For the last riding season I have one of those Ski-doos and it works good for the kids. Everyone in the neighborhood has them and we have races. Has anyone done anything to get them to go faster? I normally ride a Polaris regular snowmobile, but there radio controlled versions are very slow. I guess I will keep the regular Polaris and keep the Skidoo toy. Let hear of any mods people are doing with the toys.

I have the NewBrite SkiDoo battery powered one (That one in the vid is a home built) It is pretty fun! I saw some new ones at WalMart last week. Polaris has a couple out, a small one and a big one. Arctic Cat has one out now too!

As far as making it go faster, I have no idea unless you get a nitro powered motor from a hobby shop and do what the dude in the vid did. Good Luck!

I have the Ski Doo one it's pretty fast, I have seen the Poo one but it's always getting stuck...go figure.

I have the big RMK one, found 2-3 inches of snow is perfect...
got my first ride of the season in... (tracked up the whole yard)
I also took the "rider" guy off it, he makes it too top heavy.

My Ski-doo has no rider, but since I have two girls, they wanted a rider on it so I strapped on one of their Barbies on the sled. The neighbors laugh when they see this blond barbie in a basketball uniform going through the yard. Thanks for the sights...any others?

I'd try a can, remove rear rack/taillight and put on an LED light, remove foam under hood, port the track. Does Boss make a seat that small?:D

I had the polaris one untill I went of a jump and broke the trailing arm. I wonder if Holtz make a replacement.

I gave the Skidoo one to my son last Christmas........ THe ZX chassis MXZ by NewBrite?

He broke the spindle off a few times. JB Weld would not hold any longer, so I had to fabricate a new spindle out of a lag bolt. It was pretty easy except for the top of the spindle where it attaches to the steering. It is a bit sloppy but at least THAT part will not break again. I am waiting for him to snap off the other side.

Is anyone else sick of having to pull out those stuck RMK radio controlled sleds all the time?

LOL

I've got a FAST chassis RC.

Just a short track, gets stuck if more than 1/2 inch of snow.
