Radiator Removal on 06" Switchback 600 HO 144"

I was all set to do this and was going to get the SLP radiator removal kit. My initial research told me that there was no downside to this. Lose 7.2lbs and the snowmobile would run cooler without. I have now heard of somebody who did this and had overheating issues afterwards.

Does anybody have first hand experience with this?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

As long as you run scratchers in low snow conditions i cant imagine you would have any cooling issues

They overheated with the radiator. Like previous post, run scratchers and in snow. As a side benefit, you gain some cool storage room where the radiator once resided. 550iq

If you spend that much time on hard pack I dont think the 7 pounds saved is worth your time, money and the risk of possibly over heating in certain scenarios,
