Radiator circuit where to hook up handle bar heat?

I've posted this already in the heated handlebar post but I seem to have run out of views for that post so now I can't read the answer as I am only a basic member.

Does anyone know where I need to hook up my handle bar heat lines to the circuit shown in this photo?

I can't read that thread anymore either and its my thread LOL, but that's a discussion for another time. I think your diagram is a bit off as far as flow goes. We just sold the 300 so I cant even go look at the bike but I think you want it to supply from where you have the word "IN" on your pic. Use the line coming from the head that's your hottest coolant.

Maybe im looking at it wrong but it sure looks like its able to bypass a bunch of coolant. Like so much that even if the thermostat did open it would still bypass.

I have a totally different set up but I do know that I had to go as far away with the in from the out as possible to get it to work.

M5 that post became really popular because I think many of us are interested in avoiding the fragile flex wires involved in electric heated grips, not to mention the drain on the stator's power.

Let's just say this thread could continue your original thread, since any viewer with "basic" membership is limited to that first 100 views. That was news to me when I posted the 100th post on your thread then could not even read what I posted. If anyone has the ability to access that other thread perhaps you can quote my post here so that I can remember what I wrote.:face-icon-small-sho

This Post? :

This pic shows the flow through the radiator as I understand it (for my KTM 300 XCW). As you can see my plumbing has a stock thermostat. When the engine is cold, the blue circuit starts at IN (coming out of the head) and short cuts down to the pump at OUT.

When the bike warms up, the thermostat opens and the red circuit is now the path for the coolant, getting carried up to the top and then down through the radiators, eventually down again to the pump below by existing at OUT (btw the radiator on the left is not present in this photo).

My question is: where do I connect the two lines for my heated handlebars? Free pizza for the right answer...
