QWERX Running Board Porting

Q did my wife's boards on her M7 at last year's snow show. Great job, clean cut, and like he said, he did all the work. Highly recommended!!

Thanks Seth! :thumb:

Hope to say hi at this years snow show.

Have a great season!

If my memory serves correctly, those running boards are like Swiss cheese from the factory and still hold snow like no tomorrow....right?

If so, the system I use doesn't lend itself to work well in your application. In order to "punch" holes and then roll the edge, I need material to work with. There needs to be some solid aluminum to work with and with all those little holes there really isn't enough material.

I may end up weakening the running board. When used in the proper application the ports help rid the snow AND adds rigidity to the running board.

A product like Better Boards or Fastlane's would be better in your app.

Thanks for giving me a shot though.

My wife's 2006 does not have the swiss cheese boards. It's solid material. Any chance you'll be in GJ with your tools this winter????

My '08 has the terrible swiss cheese boards. I will probably go with some F-Bomb boards this winter for it.

Yes I'm planning on a trip to the Mesa maybe mid January. I always travel with the tools. Should take about 1-1 1/2 hrs. Let's stay in touch.

Thanks again.

ttt

............why the hell not. It's cold and rainy outside and that means snow in the high country and that gets me thinking about porting some running boards!

Due to me traveling up and down the front range rather frequently..........Basically Cheyenne WY to Denver / Castle Rock.........I will come to you if you are in that parameter.

$120.00 per sled. Multiple sled discounts are easily negotiated!

Thanks again to everyone letting me serve you!

Have a great season.

BTW.........I will be the good looking guy (shaved head :face-icon-small-ton) at the QC Performance booth at the Denver Snow Show here in a couple weeks.

Come by, say hi, and ask questions about the porting!

Just look for Mr. Clean and you will find Qreiff:)

Riding an older sled??

QWERX Running Board Ports
It's almost winter again and for those of you riding iron that may be a few years old............you know the running boards just don't release snow the way the newer running boards do.

Don't fret! I'm still porting running boards on the older sleds. The punch and die I use works great on the older Arctic Cats and, I've also ported older RMK's and Ski-Doo ZX chassis with great success!!

I'm in Colorado (Longmont) and the best news is..........I do the work! I need your sled for about 1.5 hrs. No hacking or removing of the whole running board either.
Just clean, retangular holes that are punched and then rolled for
great strength, with a special die. Your running boards will be more rigid after being punched.

**Click on the link in post #1 to view pictures of completed sleds!!**

Pics of of a few are below. PM me with any questions. Just because you may ride a sled a few years old doesn't mean you have to deal with constant snow build-up. This is the solution.

$100.00 per sled. That's it!.....and I will come to you if feasible.......meaning Denver - Boulder areas.....maybe Ft. Collins and even Cheyenne depending on the number of sleds.

Pictures from left are: M-series, Ski-Doo ZX chassis, Polaris RMK and an AC King Cat.

Thank you to all that have used my service in the past!

Still going...........

Just a heads up............I'm still punching running boards!

More often, I am now punching a hole or two for people in the toe "stirrup" area where their sleds still collect and retain snow. Still doing complete sleds as well.

Give me shout, check out the pictures and let me know if I can help out.

Have a wonderful season everyone!
