i called rox today and they said they no longer have running boards for any ski doo's. does anyone else make aftermarket running boards? i am slightly streching my zx and i have done a little research on drop and roll, does anyone know what the average cost is to complete a drop and roll? and also if any of you guys have done one did you think it was worth it, or could you have spent that money on a better upgrade? i am putting a 151 on it can anyone let me know how to do a skid set back. i will also be adding drop brackets. i will probably only run a 2" lug, but i like the idea of snow clear out. thanks for any info

i know f-bomb sells better boards on here and you just cut out your old ones and rivit the new ones in
i personaly dont have a set on my sled but my brother does and 1) they look sweet 2) they do let all of the snow go through

Saw another ad on here had zx boards, believe it was WRP, Wasatch Racing Products, something like that. There's some out there.

Saw another ad on here had zx boards, believe it was WRP, Wasatch Racing Products, something like that. There's some out there. Did a skid set back on a 2000 Summit 700, 136 to 144. get an aluminum yard stick and hold it up to your front and rear susp. mounting holes, mark both holes and then drill out the yard stick, you have your susp. mounting centers. There are several companys out there that sell the setback plates. Specialty Sleds is one. and of course you go half the distance of the track length you are going to. Now would be a good time to put a little longer drop brackets on for better board clearance.

I see you have already planned drop brackets, I did 5" on my 02 HMX, and had to drop the front arm mount to within an inch of the bottom of the tunnel to get my transfer back, but it worked great. I run a 156x16x2.5 Camo, 7t Extro divers, 19/45 gears.

IMHO, the 10mm D&R that was sold a few years ago, before they did it on the 02 model, was a lot of work for minimum return, I did it on a 00 700, If you're looking a doing a 2" D&R you're getting into a specialized skill area. I know Fabcraft still advertises work and parts for the ZX chassis.

Good luck ,take pic's and let us know how it works out.
