questions re. head shim removal on mcx Apex

I have an 06 apex with an 07 310mcx kit. I"ve been running 18lb with 100LL from 1000 to 9000ft no problems.
I'm thinking of talking out my shim to increase the throttle response in the low end.
what kind of boost #s can I run with stock compression and 100LL?
and will this work without changing anything else?

I would talk with Turbokeith, Dave Forsythe(powderlites) or Jeff from Quantum Velocity before pulling the shim out as there may be other options to get the response that you are looking for. JMHO

What he said. Talk to Dave @ Powderlites he just ported my wastegate and I got the double down pipe from him. It improved bottom end dramatically. From what I've read he can get the MCX kit rockin as well also using the RB3 box. Worth a call at least.

I agree with the others . Dave can help get rid of the lag and help make a little more power with the safety of the shim

Talked to Dave today. He has not had a chance yet to test a Nytro with MCX stuff yet. He as of Today has nothing really as a package for a Nytro with a MCX turbo. RB3 is worth looking into but he is still working on programs.
