looks kinda janky, like the shovel and probe would slip out on a rough trail or in a crash.
bwahahaha, you and me both, I put my shovel blade in the same way as skibreeze does and haven't had any problems, I put the handle inside the pack and my probes go inside the shovel handle. never had a problem yet.You have obviously not seen any of our videos, 'cause I know how crash! Trust me the shovel doesn't budge. My probe and probe bag have a loop that I run through the top strap to ensure that it doesn't come off.
I believe that the 15 is setup for internal storage of the shovel...its the only reason i got the Freeride pack.
you put the shovel and probe inside the freeride?
Get a boss seat with shovel pocket, your prob will fit too..
I wouldn't suggest that. Much better having shovel/probe on your body in an emergency situation.
Works great till you're separated from your sled.Get a boss seat with shovel pocket, your prob will fit too..
i personally went with the snow Pulse back air bag way better design... My two cents.
Snow Big Deal sells the Snowpulse and the ABS and after getting to look at one in person at the snowshow this past weekend I kinda wish I had went that route. The pack itself is a much nicer design for the snowmobiler. However I do like the ABS with the dual bags too. If you look into the Snowpulse I recommend the Himark version, little more storage and a nicer setup for your shovel.I was thinking of selling my escape 30 and buying a 15 but if you cant get a shovel and probes in,, I think Ill keep my 30 ,,who sells snowpulde???
What are the extra straps for? Like the red ones?
