Question on Head Shim Installation

I am installing a head on an MCX 240 Nytro kit. I am using the MCX head shim and a new Yamaha gasket split in half. I am wondering what the perfered way to put on copper spray, just on the head shim or head shim and both sides of the gaskets? Just would like to make sure I have no leaks, I am using ARP studs as well.

What's the thickness of the MCX shim?

When I did my apex with a split gasket. I Sprayed it on the shim and metal side of gasket, not the sides that have the black rubber like feel to them. Basically the insides of the split gasket that will sandwhich the headshim.

Have had no issues with mine.

I belive it is 2mm.

The MCX shim is 2mm, I measured it before installation. I sprayed both sides of the shim and put it in between a split stock gasket. Hopefully I will have no leaks ...
