Trying to help a guy out here who is from Seattle riding and damaged his rails: Will an 06 RMK 144 skid bolt into an 02 RMK 144? Or will the rails interchange without a ton of drilling?
Chris

I'm only going off what I've read, I have no first hand knowledge.
I believe the skid geometry is the same, so the rails should be a direct fit. The shafts are narrower on the 06' than the edge, so if you swap the whole skid you may need to come up with spacers. Might be best to swap rails, then you can check out the swing arms/pivot and get fresh coats of grease on everything.
Hope that info is correct, I believe it is. Good luck.

I think the iq tunnel is 1" narrower then the edge tunnel.
Not shure about center/center of mounting holes.
A set of spacers will be needed like Goinboardin says.

Rails will work but will need spacers for arms because the tunnel is wider. Some washers will work in a pinch.

I put 06 rails on my 02 144. I had to use some washers as spacers, the bolts in the cross shafts from the 02 were smaller, so I found some bushings to put in the hole of the 06 rails so the bolts were not so sloppy. I had to drill a hole in the rails for a bolt were the front swing arm mount plates go. You will also have to use the 06 rear wheels because they are larger than the 02 wheels.
