hi guys been reading alot about the fix kit. made up my mine and ordered it yesterday after talking to shawn at pms. this after I took exhaust valves out for a cleaning and check the pistons and found scoring deep enough to catch an oring pick on. ok ok my question to all of you with the kit is what flash are you running in the ecm. also my sled has 12.5 power addiction head, aaen single pipe, hps can, pcV with autotune. also ordered pink exhaust springs to try. sled is running 70 gram polaris weights and stock spring for 0 to 6000ft and 64 gram polaris weights and stock spring for 6000 to 10000ft.

let me know what you guys think of this setup and what flash is good to use.

Sled is a 2010 polaris assault 800 with 146 comp track with a tooth off the top gear.

Thanks

come on guys no one know what flash they have on their sled with the fix kit.
just wondering what you have and how it works

Well, I'm running my own fix. Lol 08 flash with SLP PCV map and working on an auto tune map for it. 2008 with 2010 cylinders and 08 modified head. If you are running the auto tune you are good to go. You can adjust for proper fueling no matter what stock map you have in the ECU.

Your setup looks good. The only thing I'm questioning are the weights. Might still be just a little heavy when you get up in altitude. The pink exhaust spring should be good too. I'm going to be testing yellow this season with capped valves.

thanks for the reply think im gonna run the 08 flash talked to shawn at pms he said they are working on a map for the pcV with a stock pipe and bikeman pipe hopefully available in a couple weeks. The weights are new this year. ran 2 grams lighter with stock pipe last year a never could get it to run over 7800-8000 ever. went heavier because the pipe/head combo dynoed 170.3 hp at crank last year and made peak hp at 8000rpm and with the fix kit i was told i should gain so rpms. its all best guess til i get on the snow

Prior to the Fix Kit I was running this April 2010 map from DTR with excellent results:

"2010 Dragon 800 with 1/14/10 reflash. STOCK Exhaust. This is the DTR map, tweaked to best midrange operation, zero burbles or deto. Map tweaking was done by Chad Okeson on a group of identical sleds run cleanly from sea level to 8000 ft."

Now I have the Fix Kit and installed with the 08 head & fuel map and Aaen pipe with stock silencer.

Have the SLP coolant by-pass kit on order to help the coolant loop issue.

akrevrider

cool akrevrider that is the same maps I was running before fix kit curious of how it runs now after the changes. is it noticable, better/worse? smoother? stronger?

The engine runs much smoother after the Fix Kit and does not have the rattle that it had even after the Polaris piston update.

Seat of the pants butt dyno tells me it was good for at least 5hp.

The reliability of it running welll in the backcountry is priceless...
