question about better boards

Rob - I want a set for my srx. Figure out a way to do that with the running board heat exchangers in the way and you'll make all us old yamaha riders happy. Sure I'll demo them for you:)

Nope sadly not but anyone within driving distance or a good enough liar to make be believe you would be there can get free "I'm not going to Hay Days" shipping on Better Boards. Then you don't have to pack them around in the dust! They just magically show up at your door step...not bad. And I'll save $3500 bucks in expenses..everyone is happy except the bar owners that are missing out on my presence! You guys will all have to get my back on that one.

I am making APEX Boards this season that will simply go over your running board cooler. The holes won't have the evacuation benies of others but I think the heaters will do that work. That is the theory. I have it in cad so it's a matter of cutting, installing, and testing. Snow is all I need. Have to test some in the field before I get too excited though. I can make you customs but you can't be mad if they don't work that great! Normally custom stuff add a small amount. Same as REEB if you want to measure them up I can compare against our 14 set models and the four custom forms I've made. Maybe we will get lucky.

You guys where one of the better booths I visited last year. You can only walk into so many discount clothing booths in one day.

cheers
Shawn

Awesome, can't wait for the Apex boards!

let me know when they are done and count me in for a pair!!!

Keep on eye out on our website and then I'll certainly post something in Yamaha section to let you know about the Apex models. I'm also anxious to see if I am right about the new Nytro running boards not working any better then the XP.

Yea deciding on not going to Hay Days is certainly sad. We have had some monster wonderful business trips as well as some great fun personal times there. I've stood on some pretty lofty podiums and had some incredible times but watching Jimmy Blaze get lit up by the bouncers at the sports bar was quite possibly the highlight of my life! bah ha ha

Rob, why is it so expensive for you to go? Booths aren't that expensive, $400.00. Can you get everything that is a must in the back of a truck? Sure you can't bring everything to sell on spot but you could take massive orders for stuff you have on display.

How much fuel in terms of gallons do you think you went through last year? Maybe 200 gallons out and back, that would put you about $500.00 in extra expenses this year. I'd bet you could make that up couldn't you at the show, especially if you split it up with 2cool? Just can't do the bar thing, that's is where you can't make ends meet!

It sucks your aren't going to be there. I guess I will have to order stuff though 2cool here in a few weeks.

RJ,
It's like this
340 gallons of fuel so that is $1500ish
tires, oil, w & t ratio $340
6 hotel stays $600 average
food $180
Display Booth $800
(have to go contingency...not to mention the space we had last year absolutely SUCKED...and we'll never make that mistake again...it's pretty difficult to move up to prime space as it's a seniorority system)

48 hours in the truck...holy $hit who could ever associate a cost to that?! Therapy $$$$$$

Now also you have to factor in the added cost that 2-Cool would have as opportunity costs. They had to take time off from 2 real jobs so that is pretty expensive too (more so when you factor in they're hotel stays).

Now the biggie....MY BEER and Party donation COSTS! Actually let's raise up that expense estimate to $5000. Worse now!

Well, that sucks that you won't be at Haydays. Oh well. Here is a question. Tell me why I should buy your better boards at 200 bucks for my 07 RMK, over the Snow Elimator boards at 130 bucks?

For 07 Polaris IQ? Many many reasons. OK here we go....

BETTER (wouldn't you prefer better?)

Better engineering, better designs, better performance, better coatings, better fit, better appearance, better fasteners, better packaging, better instructions, better customer service, better replacement policy, better distribution, all that equals a far better overall product. All of this is why we are easily the number one aftermarket running board insert manufacturer in the world.

WEAR A COAT IT'S COLD OUT THERE

SE's don't even offer the option of coating so your cost comparison is apples to crab apples. You want to eat crab apples? Not me... they taste terrible and make your guts hurt!

WHY BUY COATED

Testing has proven beyond any doubt that our coating of this product improves snow evacuation performance by over 300% over non coated natural state aluminum. (tests performed and calculated on exact like designs) These tests are surface freeze rates, surface friction, adhesion ratios, crystalization activity buildup and surface durability or hardness ratings. The coating outperformed anodization processed aluminum by a rate of 280% meaning that in these tests anodized only slightly outperformed natural. We also tested three other suitable coatings of conventional powders as well as 2 other expectedly suitable coatings in plastic polymers. All of which were dramatically subpar to our existing process.

Now that is performance on our product heads up against our product with different finishes. The placement and design of evacuation space and cleat height has radical variances in performance. Compare ours to any of the other two competitors heads up and the net result is that for your application (and nearly all of the others) our product wins out every time.

WELL WORTH THE ADDED EXPENSE!

$200  Holy ****. Your getting ripped by your suppliers or making a huge profit.

Black shinny or flat...the other coatings colors have different performance results some good some not quite as...especially messing around with colors. I have a Yamaha looking blue that netted out pretty well. Our two blacks continue to be the best all around performance finish for appearance, function, and durability.

snowstar

Am I missing something about business advantages in Utah where you guys don't have to deal with buildings, equipment, office equipment, labor, insurance, inventory, design development, distribution, packaging, shipping, depreciation, and marketing before you calculate profit and therefore comment on costs?

Let's put into another perspective..what's the margin on a $65,000 sand car? Don't forget to use the same calculation of GROSS cost vs REAL NET as you are on running board parts. Now factor in the real costs....I rest

I would have to add, why not buy from someone right on here (snowest) that makes them? In a way it's almost the only way to go, fact that he makes a better board is just icing on the cake.

Sandcars are a joke, the time I put in it to what I get paid on the end, you would have to love doing it. I built these boards for a while, did everything myself from running the cutting table, bending, coating, and shipping. Sold them for what I thought was a fair price and couldnt figure out why they wouldnt sell when I had a great product, service and price. So Ill leave it to the pros and move on to something else. Not bashing just want to understand why. I think you have a great product and service.:D

Hey Rob,

Still trying to get a hold of you? Have you found out what happened with my order from last April?
