Q's about pump gas turbo

I've been throwing around the idea of putting a pump gas turbo on my 2010 m8. Has anyone done this to these sleds? How reliable are they? Which company is best? If I decide to do this it'll be done come next fall. Thanks

Don't do it! haha. You will NEVER go back! The M8's are a great reliable boosted sled. You will get all sorts of opinions on here about turbos. What I did was read a bunch of the turbo threads, and narrowed down my decision to 3 builders. I made some phone calls to each builder with my questions, and went with the builder that gave me the most confidence in their product.

i'm turning mine down to pump boost levels this week....they do work very well, but don't kid yourself, you will need to do more preventative maintenance and understand how stuff works...

The thing to remember with "pump gas" is , one bad tank of fuel and you are buying jugs and slugs . You will be mixing fuel at some point , unless you want to gamble on what comes out of a pump.

I will tell you at 12 lbs an M8 is a fun sled , i will never run less than 12 ever again.

Dont waste your time ,get a race gas kit and just do it right the first time.

I have replaced my 8 with an M1000 this season , it will be a race gas sled also.
