Putting NOS on the Kitty!!! Any advice?

Putting a new BOSS NOS wet system 30hp shot on my 900 efi kitty.

anyone have any advice?

correct me if im wrong but i do believe that boss noss kits are are dry kits/fogger kits. If you are going to do the nitrous route I would suggest a 'wet' system like the set up nitrous express runs.

I think you are wrong. BOSS injects a nitrous/fuel mist directly into the carb boot. Fogger/Dry Kit would inject nitrous into the airbox.

the difference is whether its an old boss noss kit or a new one. the new system mixes fuel with the nitrous then sprays it into the intake boots. the new system is superior to old system.

First call boss and send your OLD system in a have it upgraded to the new system. 60 hp shot and ti works UNBELIEVABLE !!!! But on the 900 the carb boot is not right for installing the npfi. I mounted mine behind the carbs in the airbox. then put a brass 90 on them so they shot down the center of the carbs.

Like where your heads are on this. It's an old system, sent to boss for an update to the new wet system.

The air box tip is money. Would say that's the spot to mount?

I have the full SLP kit with BD nitrous on my 05 EFI. Easy to tune IMO.

On a carb 900 yes. on a efi 900 the carb boots are different and they would work great for the NPFI mount. The carb boots on a carbed 900 just wont work. I tried to make it work, cost me a crank due to a air leak.

So thats when I mounted the NPFI's in the air box. I mounted them in the rubber part right behind the carbs, then mounted a brass 90 on the NPFI so it points straight down the carb. works GREAT, like a 60 HP light switch.

I don't have one yet but get a turbo. I have run nos, and purely from the point of having to fill bottles, change bottles and you just can't pack enough noss it is a pain in the butt. Thrilling but a pain in the butt.

Yep, when you need a little more to get over or threw a cornice !

I guess that depends what normal use is. I ride about 1000 miles a year. I think I fill my 3 pound bottle 3 times. I don't use it all the time. Although when you first get it you will be filling your bottle every other ride. Just because it is SOOO fun to have a 60 HP switch.

motor is efi, so boot mount for nozzles seems to be the consensus?
