Put a deposit on this truck $28K 59K miles

Fuel gage slow while running is normal. Not an issue if you shut it down. It's a feature. Wait till you tow in T/H - the tranny temp above 180 will seem normal. Nothing but Transync in the tranny. Tank is stupid small 26gal US. The 36 on my L5P was like a gift, could never run a 26 again. You can also upgrade to a +52 gal for about $1.5k US. If I was keeping that truck for 250k, that's one of the first upgrades I'd make. Went through 3 sets of rear U joints on my LBZ, every 50k, and if you swap, run greaseable.

I will get a fuel tank / tool box in the bed.

I would do a Titan tank so your bed is useful. Not cheap but it does suck only having a 26g tank. Do some research on the EGR delete. It needs to be done the right way (no blocker plate) but this really extends the life of the motor. Welcome to the LBZ crowd!

Its all stock works great plenty of power. the fuel filter is a cartridge filter now on the 2017. you need a 1- 5/16 to take it off. i think without checking. 17 is the first year the more power and torque come out.

IS there a way to use the VIN and find every detail about the truck? Trying to verify type of rear end.

I think the glovebox will have a sticker that covers all options. U will need to translate it with GM code definitions.

Returned home last night. Truck performed well but no longer 58,xxx miles on it. :face-icon-small-ton

Did over 10 fuel stops playing with the EDGE programmer with 5 codes.

Best mileage was 22+ MPG for about 400 miles at night flat ground using 5 extreme ( Allison / Duramax 2500hd crew 4wd 3.73 rear 285/55/20 tires )

Averaged 19 MPG whole 1550 plus miles.

Only issue was a black truck in the desert at 112F going 75 with the AC on the tranny started to get hot from 140 to almost 200 after 3 plus hours driving. Pulled over and could have cooked stake on the roof of the cab. So pulled into a town and washed all the bugs out of the radiators ! Temp back to 140.

Fuel gage took a while to register full tank keeping the truck running.

Rear end got noisy tires and gears after 5 plus hours but ended if we pulled over for just a few minutes. Did not get noisy on hill climbs.

Wife drives a 06 Cadi escalade with almost the identical interior and wish she had this truck instead !!!!
My fuel gauge always takes awhile to get up to full, passengers always ask why I didn't fill up when we pull away from the pump. Been that way since I got mine 5.5 yrs ago.

Seems to be some guys pretty in the know on Duramax's here....are the 09-2011 ish years a pretty solid unit? Seems my price range would put me in to a 100k mile unit +/- which I would assume is reasonable on modern-ish diesel? Anything that jumps out to keep an eye out for if checking one out? Price range for something like that in a crew cab good colour/options model seems to be just under $30k ish...sound about right as well?
