Push turbos

Your posting show us that your tech knowledge is limited.

Correct he has two in the charge tube. He claims that it helps cool the charge temperature. All that it does is leave puddles of fuel in the intake plenum and cause a rich condition when you’re on and off boost.

Why would fuel puddle in the charge tube, but not in the air box or throttle bodies?

racing engines are pumping fuel in to the charge tube or even in their turbo or SC to keep the air and parts cold and to get better air/feuel combo (without killing the stock injectors or running them all the time 100%)

I spent the better part of 2 years testing different charge boxes and injector location along with charge temperatures. Both on track dynos and crank dynos. I can tell you 100 percent in a 2stroke turbo snowmobile application having the injector before the throttle body does nothing but make fuel puddle in the charge box.

The best place that would not affect drivability for an injector is after the throttle plates. Period.

Turbo 2 strokes are not some 4cy Honda or SBC Chevy they are there own ball of wax and I can assure you that not all the same principles will transfer between them.

But I will let you go on and install you injectors in the charge tube and sit there and chase your tail on why you have a boog on the bottom end when getting on and off boost.

Or maybe I should post up picture with flow analysis of charge box from other turbo builders just to show how much turbulence and restriction they have.

That’s all

If you have the injector sized right and the fuel system dialed you can set it up so there is no puddling.

Puddling

I can see that it might Puddle if injectors work when not on boost but if those injectors only come on when the is over 5 plus lb of boost and its not like they are send a high amount of fuel any way. I have heard this over and over but have yet to experience it. I am not saying it does not happen just saying I have never seen or experienced it.So I guess I am skeptical.

I had mine set to come on at 5 psi at 14psi the motor needs almost twice then what it needs stock so the injector arent just flowing a little. The throttle plates can close faster then boost drops even with a BOV. When you close the throttle plates the fuel that beening injected in front of them has no place to go so it puddles. Then when you open the throttle back up you have that fuel that goes into the motor and sets a rich condition for a small amount of time causing a boog.

This is a very simple thing to solve install extra injector after the throttle plates like the rest of the kits do.

If you really want to see something cool install the injector in the transfer ports on the M's and set them to only be on about 3-4 psi of boost. and you soon realize what is being left on the table.

But what do I know I have only about 10 different intake hanging on my wall with different injector location and different shapes.

One other thing if you dont belive me take any turbo 2 or 4 stroke with the injector before the t-bodys and sit there while crusing and get on and off the throttle alot you will see the rich condition in a hurry if you cant well then you need to learn how to tune a motor. its very noticatble. but then again maybe im picky.

Hmm never had any bog. Injectors are not in the tube but in the airbox. I can make it bog if I play with my trasfer point and tell my injectors to come on early.
