Push turbo track record

Why oh why did you have to write this.
I had pretty much decided on the OVS kitt, but now I am once more in doubt..
I`m starting to get tired of the headace from thinking about wich kitt to choose..

Nothing wrong with the OVS kit either. The reason I Phoned Dakota Performance is because they sell both OVS and Push so they have no need to lie. They said both kits work great and if the Brandix ecu works like it is supposed to they will offer it for both kits.

The thing I really liked is that they said the Push kit will build boost before engagement, 2 psi as 4000 rpm. They said there is absolutely no lag and throttle response is like nothing they have ever seen before.

No info?

Twisted Turbo has been out testing his new kit the past week and most of the others have not seen snow with their kit yet.It does not matter who you call their not going to let the cat out of the bag until the sled shows. Call cutler and dig for some info, you wont get much..lol You will see twisteds new kit at the Edmonton show and the ones in the states. One thing for sure with twisted is he rides his stuff hard and it makes power.

This is all very good, but bottom line is I dont want to run a TT kit this year.
Why does every thread on Snow West about turbos always have to end up talking about Twisted Turbo. Ive tried their's now I want to try something else.

And for you info Push, OVS, Cutler and Boondocker all have info out on their web sites. Some are more informative then others but all have info and pics.

Push Turbo reliability

I ran a pg Push Turbo last year on my M8 2011.

My experience was not all positive or negative. In cold weather it worked however it detonated more often than it ran well. A good mix of race gas helped but I wanted to run pump gas.

Push claims to have fixed the overheating and resulting detonation by adding another fuel injector.

I'm taking my sled in tomorrow to have it installed and I hope for the best.

On a small note the Push helix came with no bearing and I destroyed two belts trying to get home. Inspect the kit!

The service and support from Push, the distributor or my dealer did not happen during riding season. In the summer they were anxious to get my sled in for the repair.

My dealer tells me that there is no compromise from Push regarding my issues.

Having said all that, I would probably buy another Push Turbo. I would wait to ensure that the new model is working and not be a beta project.

Once you've ridden a Turbo there is no going back!

Definitely sounds like you had some issues. How much boost were you trying to run on pump gas. Detonation is usually just a function of running the correct fuel for your boost and elevation.

To run pumpgas without intercooler and with air intake under the hood, then you have no way of running decent boost.
It gets really hot under the hood and hotter when passing the turbo, increases the risk of detonation.

I don`t know how well the injektor cooling works, guess you will see. This is a good light weight option!

Otherwise my advice is to install a intercooler (Water/air or air/air), and went well! Meshhood is recommended.

Ok I know Kenny(owner of PushTurbo) on a personal level. The resason Yamaha pulled him from there catolog is he got to big too fast and couldn't keep up to the demand of how many Kits Yamaha wanted aside from the sales, and design, test his new products for other sleds as well. He lives in Minnesota so testing isn't as easy as it would be for Cutler where the mountains are in ur backyard. I was there when he tested his first turbo kit on his 09 M1000, and seen his company grow and improvement be made. it's a very good kit and the best looking by far, and if I were in the mood for buying an Arctic Cat turbo kit it would be a Push Turbo kit, second choice would be a Boondocker.

Thanks for confirming what the article said, response to the customer and quality of kit. To big to fast so when PUSH sells way more kits than expected and the quality of the kit goes down that will be ok? And when you are having problems with the kit and even the dealers are having a hard time getting a hold of him as stated in a previous post mmsports plan on not riding unless your dealer will step up and fix the problem w/o the help of PUSH. that's when you will know the depth of your dealer most will play the blame game its not our kit not our problem we don't know how to fix it ect ect. Congratulations you know Ken! No need for you to stick up for him let the kit do the talking.

This is what I would consider. Customer service. Who are you getting the kit from?
Are you buying from OVS or a push dealer. If buying from OVS they are a good distance from you but will do what ever they can to help.
If you buy a push make sure the dealer know there stuff because you will never get a hold of Push turbo. The one thing I love about push is he sells to dealers not to customers. If you was one that bought from him direct well I am sorry for he is almost impossible to contact. With that being said he is very fair to deal with and I do like how clean his kits are.
If I didn't blown all my $$$$ being a cat dealer I would become a turbo builder sell parts and kits so as you could customer build you own kits .

Hope this helps.

Ps I am pumped to get the new kit but I am not worried I have been doing it long enough I can make it work and remember I did bd kits for 4 years and I had to custom every install .

I am running a Push kit on a 2010 and if it wasn't for Kevin at MM I would not recommend a Push kit to anyone. I was one of the guys who bought direct back when that was possible and it was a huge mistake as my first year was terrible. Ken had no support and furthermore he still owes me for a second kit that I paid for but never received. He was operating out of his garage for the longest time but making himself seem like a big player. I like the product but any good manufacturer should stand behind their product and run a fair and honest business. Ken and Vonda have over $4000 of mine and will not communicate with me or refund me money OR provide my kit back.

To sum things up, my suggestion is to purchase from a reputable dealer like Kevin but you need to be comfortable that the manufactuer will be in business into the future. If I had my money back from Push I would recommend them first based on Kevin's support. Since I don't have my money back I don't recommend anyone purchase from a crooked manufacturer, regardless of how good the dealer is. Buy a Cutler!

I bought a new but used 2010 pg tial kit. I tried to reach ken for some time after buying kit phoned him a dozen times always no answer and full mail box also tried emailing him got a reply from some lady said he is real busy he will have to get back to me.....well that was two years ago and I am still waiting. I then gave Dakota perf. A call and have got excellent service from them.

I love this kit i think it is very well made and thought out. But without the help I have got from Dakota and MM sports I would have never bought another one. I think push just knew they are not very good with customer support and they had to setup some dealers. I would buy another one its a damn nice setup.

A: Because twisted provides RESULTS,

Why does BD and Push need dealers when cutler and twisted kit don't. There is something to be said for the cool stuff some of these guys come out with but its not as loud as-- once setup, pull and go!

Cutler, no issues, updates or hassles. I like the fact I can contact Cutler if I need to and also my dealer who runs Cutlers turbo products also.

5-6 lbs of boost at 6000+ft. This issue was the right amount of fuel. I'm told the extra injector has eliminated the heating/detonation issue.
