Push turbo track record

I'm on the fence about which turbo I will run on my PC8 this year. Its between the new Push RG and OVS RG . (Coming off of a TT M1000 RG)

I'm sure the OVS kit will be rock solid as they have been building kits for a long time but the Push kit has a lot of interesting new ideas and if they work anything like they are claiming it will be one unbelievable ride.

Bottom line is that I really want the Push kit (I like having the latest greatest thing) but I'm worried about reliability.

I'm looking for some feed back form Push customers. Let me know how your kits worked out and any trouble you may have had.

Thanks

The kit now is brand new so no one will be able to tell you for sure. I was very interested but after looking into it I wont take the risk when I know others have proven kits that will do what I need.

I heard they werent very good at getting products out in a timely manor, does anyone know if this is true or just bs.

Yeah I know that the 2012 kits are all new and not out yet, Im mainly looking for how their older kits worked as they are a fairly new company. In general if they have had a soild product in previous years there is a much better chance that there new stuff will preform as advertised.

which kit?

This is what I would consider. Customer service. Who are you getting the kit from?
Are you buying from OVS or a push dealer. If buying from OVS they are a good distance from you but will do what ever they can to help.
If you buy a push make sure the dealer know there stuff because you will never get a hold of Push turbo. The one thing I love about push is he sells to dealers not to customers. If you was one that bought from him direct well I am sorry for he is almost impossible to contact. With that being said he is very fair to deal with and I do like how clean his kits are.
If I didn't blown all my $$$$ being a cat dealer I would become a turbo builder sell parts and kits so as you could customer build you own kits .

Hope this helps.

Ps I am pumped to get the new kit but I am not worried I have been doing it long enough I can make it work and remember I did bd kits for 4 years and I had to custom every install .

Snowest October 2011 page 29, Yamaha switches to MPI turbo. i am sure their is more than one reason Yamaha has switched vendors for their turbo kits other than the ones stated in the article. which ever kit Going West goes with i whish em luck! it sucks being the test dummy or update dummy when theirs fresh POW!!!

I am in the same situation. The push kit looks real good on the website. But I guess we don't really know how good it is before it has been on the snow for a year. I am going ovs race or boondocker race without IC

Guys. You have just recived a brand new sled, who has not been on snow in production form yet.
If there was no doubt buying a first year sled, why such doubt buying a first year turbo kit?
:)

True....

But I trust Arctic cat more then a turbomanufactor :)
Last year Push didn`t manage to deliver AC kits to the Norwegian dealers I think.

I`m not 100% sure I`m not gonna take a change on Push. But I need some more proof that it actually works first.

If someone can convince me that it`s gonna rock, be reliable, and that I can have it in my hands in Januar 2012 I`m inn

I will be looking from feed back from MM more than anyone else, so I'll stick with what I know works and get the big turbo kit.
BD didn't have a kit until last year that worked and if you werent familiar with BD stuff good luck.

Id have to go with ovs on that choice I've listen to alot of customer issues width push kits the ovs just works they answer the phone and are always on the cutting edge withe the same idea as me kiss keep it simple stupid just an opinion do u wanna ride or wrench?

Yeah I here you. Have mailed with both boondocker and ovs lately.
OVS rg looks more and more like the right choice in my head.

Ok I know Kenny(owner of PushTurbo) on a personal level. The resason Yamaha pulled him from there catolog is he got to big too fast and couldn't keep up to the demand of how many Kits Yamaha wanted aside from the sales, and design, test his new products for other sleds as well. He lives in Minnesota so testing isn't as easy as it would be for Cutler where the mountains are in ur backyard. I was there when he tested his first turbo kit on his 09 M1000, and seen his company grow and improvement be made. it's a very good kit and the best looking by far, and if I were in the mood for buying an Arctic Cat turbo kit it would be a Push Turbo kit, second choice would be a Boondocker.
