Push turbo install issues, please help me!

S
Hello..!!

I have some problems wth my push kit install. It`s a m8 pumpgaskit with external wastegate. I did not get any instruktons and Ken does not answer his phone.

1. Exactly where sould I connect the blowoff valve hose? Pics?

2. Where sould I connect the power for the oil pump?

3. I have 2 connections on the wastegate, sould I only use the one below the spring. ( closest to the turbo)? I dont have anything to adjust the pressure right now???

If anyone have some pics or instruktions please post them here or email me:

the hose for the bov will connect between the throttle blades and the engine.

the bottom port on the wastegate is for boost pressure. the top port is just vented to atmosphere. This way you will run boost presure depending on what size spring is in the wastegate. changing springs in the wastegate changes boost presure. if you have a boost controller run boost presure to the boost controller and then to the top of the gate. Do not apply boost presure to the top of the gate without runing it through a boost controller. applying direct boost presure to the top of the gate will just run whatever the max boost the turbo is capable of produceing.
You can go to www.tialsport.com for more instructions and diagrams of how to hook up the bov and wastegate.

You can look at boondockers website and download instructions to see where to get the vacume signal for the bov and where to get power for the oil pump from.

good luck. should run great!!!

help

Let me try to help a little. I Dont have a Push, but have seen them and it shouldnt be much different than any other turbo on anything:

1. Blow off valve is connected to:
Your throttle body VACUUM

2. Oil pump, He provides you a special harness for this. Should be a harness that has an end on it that fits your OEM fuel pump plug. should also be O2 gauge.

3. Wastegate connections: You should have a boost reference line from either your housing or charge (sometimes on bov flange) going to your BOOST CONTROLLER then to your wastegate. Someone with experience on the external will have to help you with the which one and if you use both?

BE PATIENT, just step back, look at it and think it through. All the components will start to make sense and soon you will be happily boosting.

Ken does answer his phone, it may take a few times, but you'll get a hold of him. Make sure you call him in the right time-zone :)

Oil pump

Very important that you get a dc converter if its an 09 or 10 if you hook the oil pump up to the acc plug and its not dc it will take circuit board out.

The boot line is the one closest to engine on waist gate.

We have a bunch od dc power supplies can make you a deal and feel free to give me a call if you need more help..

Thank Kevin

Thank for your help! I only have two issues left.

1. The stock air temp sensor will be connected to the additude box, but where sould I put the sensor?? In the airbox? There is no hole for it and that is stange..!

2. How do I mount the airbox to the trottlebody?

Instalation

Out side air temp do not put it in charge tube.

They bolt to throttle bodies. Drill a hole and bolt them on.

Now everything is in place! But it will not start with the attitude box connected. The only wire not connected is the white one, but it is not used in the turbo application if I go by the instruction..! Dead :face-icon-small-froend..

Yes that is a noss wire

Do you have fuel?
Can you start with stock injectors?

check out Attitudes webpage or give Derek a call. I had the same issue with the Attitude box and I had to swap the pins in the stock injector connectors. There are some instructions for it on his webpage.

Yes I can start with stock injectors..!!

Switching the pins is not for the 800 series accurding to the instruction.
"should be a direct plug in for all 800 series sleds"

Wiring issue

The plugs on the sled are not always consistent red to red you might need to move some post in the injectors.

Sorry your having trouble.

That sucks when the company doesnt help with a product they sell.

I havent even seen a post from PUSH on here helping you.

If you need further help call Gar or Travis at OVS. They have helped me with my other friends turbo's even though they didnt sell them the kit.

^^

I PM'd him for a A/F gauge and no response. That's the problem with SOME of these "mom and pop's" trying to run a business - zero customer service.

I don`t have any problem with the support from Push, let me calrify that..! I´m just very eager to install the kit

I`m gonna check out the wiring on the PTO injector!

Turbo

They are all real busy ken has a few dealer and as far as I am concerned he should just sell through them and then the customer who buys from dealer should get customer service from them and if they cannot answer their question they better find it out. He could hire some $5 an hour so called tech to answer the phone and give you BS answers.

Ken doesn't spend a lot of time on the forum, so don't knock his customer service since he hasn't replied to this thread or a PM. You need to call him. He has answered everytime I have called and talked for as long as it took to answer my questions.

A better option yet though is buy your kit from Kevin at MM Sports. His price will be cheaper than buying direct from Ken and his customer service is fantastic. He is always on the forum helping out, so you can PM him and get a quick response. Or you can call and if he is too busy he will call you back.

Now it will start up, I switched the pins on the injector connection, for both injectors. Thank you all for your help! A new clutch setup and the sled is ready to rip the mountains! :D
