:face-icon-small-conCant seem to get my ovs turbo tuned in. I guess I dont know how to run the fuel controller. Could the external waste gate be stuck.....HELP

Has it been running fine up untill now or did you just install it? If you have been running it and now you can't adjust it I doubt it is your fuel numbers. If you can't seem to make any changes to control boost I would check the line from your airbox to your waste gate. Also check for any blockage in that line.

if your external wastegate is stuck or sticking the boost presure would be higher then your spring presure. Usually they stick shut or dont open as fast. it is possible for it to stick open and it doesn't make boost. I would presure check your turbo system/engine if it is not making boost.
the wastegate is easy to pull apart and clean if it is sticking. Just becarefull to not pinch the wastegate diaphram when putting it back together.

thanks guys. its a brand new install and i just got it rippin....then I get an octaine code... half 91..half 110.... i added more 110 then i get code 21.. lean. Dont get me wrong..its not the product. its the operator. Im sure ill get it. just a learning curve for me. Its my first boosted sled.

since you asked about the waste gate sticking what is it doing? what lb wastegate spring is in it and how many lbs of boost is it making? Why do you think the wastegate may be sticking? if you do not have any kind of boost controller you will run a air line from any where between the turbo and the throttle bodies to the bottom of the waste gate. The top of the wastegate you can hook a line up to and just vent it to atmosphere. if you have any form of boost control you will tee into the line to the bottom of the wastegate, to you boost controller, and then to the top of the gate. Boost controller adds extra presure to the top of the wastegate to hold it shut and build more boost. 7lb spring in the wastegate and 3lbs of air presure on top of the wastegate means you will be runing 10lbs of boost presure. If the wastegate sticks it will not open and will build alot more boost then you are supposed to be runing. I have never seen one stick open, but if it did it would bleed off all the exhaust presure and you would not build the desired boost presure.

im at 2600 feet. just tuning. in have the waste gate screw all the way out and its supposed to be at 7lbs. my gauge shows 10 to 15 all the time. Ill call the installer again. Im about ready to take helmet cam footage of how its acting and post it....no intercooler

Well if you are throwing an octane code and you are building 10 to 15 pounds at that elevation with that mix of gas you are bound to throw that code.
your octane is not high enough. Mixing 110 and 91 does not give you 100 octane it is not that simple. and AV gas which is roughly 100 MON if you were running it straight would set the det sensor off at about 10 pounds if not maybe lower

wow. be carefull then. I wouldn't be riding it if the boost is going from 10-15lbs and it is supposed to be at 7lbs. I forgot ovs has their own adjustable top to the tial wastegate or whatever wastegate they are useing. I have always used tial wastegates. If you want to change the boost presure you change the spring in the top of the gate or use a boost controller. ovs has a adjuster screw that would put more tension on the spring to raise the boost presure.
talk it over with ovs. they should be able to help you out. :face-icon-small-coo

From the screw laying in my hand to where it is postioned now (10 lbs of boost at 900 feet) I had to screw the threaded rod in about 24 rotations. Where is yours at? Travis will help you figure it out (or of course Garr as well), they are patient guys but they are in high demand this time of year so it may be a few hours before they get back to you. Good Luck, should be a blast when you get the bugs worked out.

i turned the screw all the way out. turned it back in till i felt it hit the spring . then I stopped. i cant get the idle AO2 to the mid 14s. like on the web site. Also im fighting a faulty oil sensor. Oil is full and it keeps flashing OIL. did this last year b4 the turbo. Will that throw it into retard mode???

i doubt it would throw it in limp mode.id try turning the ajuster screw in a half a turn then, check the line going from the air box to the controller and make sure there is no oil or fuel in the line going to the pure logic box.and check to see if the line going from the top of your ajuster to the air box is not plugged with oil fuel whatever.thats where id start i had a similer problem but mine was a different issue

The float is stuck in your oil tank most likely. That's why you are seeing "oil" flashing on your gauge. Stick a bent coat hanger in the oil resivoir and lightly lift it up. Should work. May have a bad sensor if that doesn't work.
