Pulling out a dead sled in powder

funny chit for sure, I had to tow one a couple weeks ago and we just tied to pull sleds to the skis and pulled it out, powder was pretty deep and fluffy so one sled wasn't working. Seemed to work pretty well, when we got to the trail after about 10 miles, we were able to switch to just one sled with the rider on it and towed it back to the trailer.

no need anymore to turm skis nackwards unless its an old sled ,but all the new have reverse and have tipped up skis.ahhh hell i'm dru nk what do i know

I always hook onto the dead sleds spindles. That way you can stear if someone is riding it, and I have seen ski loops brake at the most unfortunate time If you have a big hill that requires two tow sleds, but cant go side by side just but the stronger sled in front tie off back bumper to front bumper of next sled then the dead sled, and away you go.

When you hook onto both loops, you put undue presure on the steering system.

IE: both skis want to turn in, puts pressure on steering linkages. And your steering is gonna suck. Unless your steering system is somehow broken- then go through both skis.

In general, wrapping around the spindles is better, wrapping through the frame or bulkhead is even better yet.

Love the m1 stacker video!
And next time, I might just try that two sled, wrap through the loops auto-adjusting method of towage. Anyone sporty enough to get video of that?
