So I have everything disconnected except the crap at the back of the engine. Can I pull the engine up and out a ways to unhook the injectors, is their anything else back there that I need to worry about? I see there is the coolant hose also.

By the way, did the fricken retarded "engineer" who designed this abortion get fired from Polaris? :face-icon-small-fro

U can reach back there to get the injectors undone it tight but it can be done.and the hose that goes to the head. there will be your ground wire to the head of motor too. lift the motor up slow and look to make sure u got everything unhook

the hose goes to the waterpump..its a b!tch even from behind the motor to get the clamp off, its very tight at that point...

the wire river is talking about it the DET sensor...it plugs into the wire from the ECU..

its alot better if you just pull the fuel tank off and go from the back...that way you can get the injector wires off and mark them PTO/MAG just to be safe...and you can check the wiring back there while your in there for rubbing, frays, grounding issues, shorts, ect ect ...

good luck...let us know how you do..

Be extremely careful pulling the injector wires. One of mine pulled right off the connecting clip. Carefully inspect each connection prior to reinstall

If you leave two of the bolts in the front engine mount installed but not tight, you can rotate the engine forward a little without having to hold it in the air. But take the fuel tank off so you get to the injector harnesses easier. This also works when you are installing the engine too. Makes life a whole lot easier.

The engineer that designed these was trying to test the skills of us poor bastards that love the power of these sleds. He probably got a promotion.:D

Hey!! I'm one of those "retard" engineers with several US patents! :face-icon-small-hap But I still cuss the Dodge, Porsche, Ford etc. etc. engineers once in a while.

Thanks fellers! I already have the tank off, had to check to see if the stator was bad, it is. I told my buddy who owns the sled, it would be easier for ME (who fixes his sleds) if he would just buy a new sled! I told him we need to replace the motor mounts (hopefully he listens to me and we can get compfusions mounts), and they are going to cost 7500 dollars, so it would be cheaper for him to buy a 6500 dollar dragon from someone. LOL.

Keep this in mind! It is too easy to pull the pins out without noticing, I managed this one.
