I see a lot of posts that say, with a hint of sarcasm, things like " I sold all my guns" "my guns all got stolen" and I wonder if that is the right approach.

I think this gives the impression that we are afraid of what the govt. and politicians might do in the future. Kind of a defeatist attitude that makes the Govt. think they have us right where they want us!

I saw a quote a while back that said something to this effect.
"A government that fears its people means freedom. When the people fear the govt. means tyranny"
Not an exact quote but you get the idea.

I think we should all state" loud and proud" that we are responsible gun owners and aren't going to give up the right to bear arms!

Even if I don't own a gun, or have a gun, doesn't mean I can't make one. Unless you outlaw metalworking equipment, guns will always be with us.

Besides, guns are just the visible face of containment of tyranny. It's the stuff, really smart or determined people can come up with, that they should be scared of.

Sure I have a gun, but I also have a brain and two able hands. Heck, my pin might be more dangerous than my gun.

Soldiers dying to keep us free, so I'd expect every american to at least stay in their own country and be willing to shoot,Kill, and stand up for our freedoms here. Just kiddin' but in all seriousness it's not so much the government I would be worried about. Criminals ride sleds too. Could be lurking on these forums. And all you are doing is giving them an inventory list. Kinda like those dudes with the big kickin' car stereos that have stickers on the outside of the car telling everyone the brand. Thieves are just getting hints on what's in there and how to steal it.
