Proud Dad

Took some video of my boy monday while out playing at a local spot. The area is a lake that gets drained in the winter to make a extremely safe and fun play spot. There isnt anything to run into or have to worry about with mild slopes around the edge so its a perfect place for new riders to play and learn.

I was surprised at how often he'd go wide open on the throttle on my phazer... I thought it would be a bit much for a kid but he loves it. As per the other "age" thread, it all comes down to ability. My boys had his own atv since he was 4 so hes a bit further along than other kids. I was tempted to pick up a smaller 120 for him but I think I'll let him just grow into the phazer. For the moment he only gets to ride solo in wider, more open places like this, but soon I think he'll be good enough to follow on the mellow'er trails.

Pretty amazing how well he floated in that powder though... a 50lb kid on such a light weight machine... it looked like the powder was only a few inches deep, It was over my knees filming where I filmed that.

PS: thats me on my wifes piped phazer there at the end, sure wish I could figure out that wide open sputter it does... cant figure out of its rich or lean.

Cool stuff. :)
My son was 7 when I taught him to ride a '72 Rupp 295cc Twin we had.
This was in 1974!. He will be 41 in a couple months. Yikes, where did the time go?

Those moments with your son will be something you will cherish forever.
