Pros & Cons of 2 Wheel kit on xp

2 wheels on an XP

I have 2 wheels on a 07 XRS, and 08 XP... Looks kool. Less weight. Might side hill better.. No - from what I see.. Big wheels, 2 in the center, would be even better. I did smittys axle.

Did mine last year. Pros: it rolled over easier for sure in less than optimal snow. Sidehilled better and did not want to right itself as much as stock. Cons: it takes a little getting used to. Stock was easy to hold long sweeping carves but with the wheels inside it wants to make a tighter turn, but that also means you can turn around in a space about the size of your flatbed!!!

All pros in my opinion!! Once you go 2 wheels, you'll never go back. Did it on my 04, loved it. Got my friend to do it too his 08 Summit XP, he loves it. Just ordered a new axel kit for my 09 Summit X. If you remove the sway bar and go 2 wheels in the back, you'll never want to ride it any other way. Makes powder riding so much nicer. Even on the trails, no sway bar is the way to go.

The Pros have been clearly stated above. and help more on a 16 wide track I think too.

Cons, additional bearing wear, due to only 2 wheels.
I believe or can see a higher rate of failure (on paper) on high HP or high track speed setups.

I think in the end, the Pros out weight the Cons.

I know some guys running big boost (HP) might have more of a reason to shy away from 2 wheels.

None the less, I'm going to a 2 wheel kit on my sled this year to hopefully help its carving abilities in the more setup snow.

I've had 2 wheels on my sleds since my 2002 ZX..
