Pros / Cons about a TEAM TSS-98 on my MM?

Hi,

I've been lookin' for a roller clutch all summer long. Found out there wasn't just one, so I've been rather confused what to buy.

After a while I got a hold of a TEAM tss-98 very cheap. So I bought it, havn't read so much about it..

Now, all of you who have them. What's the Pros / Cons about this clutch?
Is it hard to tune? It came off a SRX 800...

My sled is a Mountain Max 700 piped and soon crank ported. V-force 3 and boost bootle installed.
Gearing is 19/40 and it's 151" long 2" track.

Should I sell this clutch and get me a Pioneer or MTN prod ?

Cheers! :beer;

I've got one on my MM 700. I didn't notice huge gains in upshift compared to to the stock clutch when it is clean and not needing new buttons. Backshift seems to be quicker. I would run it and see what you think. We put the clutch on my Dad's 700 also and it seemed to help his more than mine and his sled has always been a better performer. With your pipes and porting you might see a better gain yet. Our sleds were mostly stock. I haven't messed around much with trying the diffent helix angles to see what works better but it is easy to change.

tss-98

i had one on an 01 700 with pipes, reeds etc. the first year i ran the stock secondary and then added the team tss-98. biggest difference i noticed was coming down the hill the engine had alot more braking power. i think i ran something like a 54/36 helix with 8ca weights. blew away piped 800's in a drag and held perfectly flat rpm's all the to the top. the combination of the weights and the roller gave instant and consistent back shift. the best part is there are a ton of cheep helix's around. warnert racing was selling brand new ones at haydays for $20. that way you play around alot pretty cheep.
