Proper turbo size for pump gas pro rmk 800?

Hey guys I'm assembling a turbo kit ( twisted). And I wanna make it a low boost pump gas setup so I have minimal problems with reeds and engine reliability issues, I'm not good with compressor maps yet but what turbo with what specs would be best for 4-7lbs boost? This is a tree bashing sled so I like response and clean running so I'm still considering keeping it stock I was thinking the 2860 with .84 a/r or would a 2871 with tighter .64 a/r, I would think a 2860 with a .64 a/r is a bit to tight and things would run on the hot side.

Any comments are great, I don't need more than 200hp if I can get away with lower boost than I stated well thats dandy

Thanks
Spenser

the exhaust sides on a 2871 and a 2860 are identical, just depending on the ar, so a 2871 with a .64 ar housing is going to be NO tighter or looser then a 2860 w/ .64 housing.

what kinda elevation you wanting to run at?

Never a .68 on a 2 stroke. To much pipe pressure causing heat to stay in the pipe and pistions. If your going to run low boost under 8psi 2860 will work just fine. I personal like the 2871 just in case tou want to turn it up. When I had my turbo M7 I could not tell a difference on spool up between the two. Except on the top end the 71 would pull harder.

Just my 2 cents

Tial 2863 for me this year. Planning on 9-11 lbs boost with 50/50 mix race

Thanks for the answer turbom700 I figured .64 would be too tight and hot, 2860 it will be then, the turbo yammi in the shop will satisfy any of my big boost needs
