Proper Tension Apex Chain

Does anyone have the specs on tightening the chain on an Apex?

Mine is in the trailer right now and my plan is to:
1. put tension on the chain by turning the seconday forward by hand

2. loosen the lock nut

3. tighten the chain

But how tight?

Need some tips, we broke a chain the other day on a turbo apex and it had to be simply out of proper tension because all we were doing was going straight up under boost and after several seconds of constant throttle.

Tighten chain finger tight and then loosen 1/4 turn(according to manual). Maybe chain was worn too much? Or too loose. Might have done the damage before the last pull.

Which turbo you running? had my chaincase explode last year when the bottom gear bolt sheared the head off. Yamaha said never has happened and I must have done something. I never touched inside the chaincase and kept my tension up to specs
